Abstract submission guidance
First of all, please enter your contact address in the beginning of the form.
Step 1: Select your presentation format
In the first step, please select your presentation format. Firstly, please enter your presentation title. The title should be prepared in about 20 English words. Secondly, please select one of two presentation styles: oral presentation, and poster presentation. Thirdly, choose one of three presentation categories: scientific research, educational lecture, and case presentation. The case presentation category can only be chosen in poster presentation style. Finally, please choose one to three topics from the list of the topics shown below.
Please note that the presentation format may be asked to change after acceptance. In addition, also note that short presentation without Q and A may be required in selected poster abstracts.

Step 2: Presenter information and affiliations
In the 2nd step, please enter presenter information and affiliations. The first author should be the presenter, and the corresponding author. The 1st author presenter of the accepted presentation can register the congress from “1st author presenter registration”. Please note that, after registration, the participation fee will not change any more even in case of presenter change.
For affiliations, you can enter maximum 5 affiliations. These 5 affiliations should cover all the affiliations of the presenter’s and also co-authors’. After entering affiliations, please enter presenter’s additional information including membership status, country / region, and professional background.
In the last of this step, please clarify whether the presenter would like to apply for the ISFRI Prize (trainee). For getting detail information of this prize, please refer to the following link.

Step 3. Co-author information
Maximum 9 co-authors’ names can be included and will appear on the printed materials in the submitted order. For each co-author, please select affiliation number(s) from the list you set in Step 2.
Step 4: Enter your abstract
In the 4th step, attach your abstract file. The file name should include the 1st author’s name. The file should not exceed 10 MB. All the abstracts should be written in English. The abstract rules differ for each category as follows.
Scientific research
- • The scientific research abstract body should include the purpose, material / method, results, and conclusions of the study.
- • Abstracts should be prepared in about 250 words in total.
Educational lecture
- • The educational lecture abstract should include the purpose, conclusion, and 3-5 learning highlights.
- • Abstracts should be prepared in about 250 words in total.
Case presentation
- • The case presentation abstract should include the age/sex/background information, image findings, conclusion, and 3-5 learning highlights.
- • Abstracts should be prepared in about 250 words in total.
In the final step of submission, 3 to 5 Key words are required to be entered. Each key words should be one word or a phrase of 2-3 words.
Before submitting your abstract, it is recommended to review your abstract in detail. Please note that it is the responsibility of the corresponding author to review his/her own submitted abstract and correct it before abstract submission. The corresponding author is responsible for any typing errors in the abstract. The presenter is solely responsible for copyright.
After submission, confirmation of your abstract submission will be sent to your registered e-mail address after submission completion (within 2 business days). If you do not receive the confirmation, it indicates that your submission was incomplete and you need to contact ISFRI 2022 office (e-mail: [email protected], Fax: +81-11-706-7860)
Step 5: After acceptance
- • Notification of Acceptance will be sent to the corresponding author in End of March 2022.
- • The 1st author presenter of the accepted presentation can register the congress from “ 1st author presenter registration”. Please note that, after registration, the participation fee will not change any more even in case of presenter change.
- • The conference format (onsite or web meeting) will be posted on the website at the end of January 2022.
Onsite meeting
- • Oral presentation should be prepared in Power Point file. It is recommended to use Windows OS.
- • The presentation format may be asked to change by program committee (ex. oral presentation ⇔poster presentation).
- • All oral presentation will be recorded for on demand distribution after the congress.
- • Selected poster presentations may be requested to present at the poster oral presentation session by program committee, individually(short oral presentation without Q & A).
Web meeting
- • Detailed information about presentation file preparation will be sent to the corresponding authors after confirmation of web meeting format.
